The Inspiration

‍My journey with Bonocle began during my university years, following a car accident that led me to the special needs center. There, I met my first blind friend and was struck by the challenges they faced in accessing education and entertainment. The bulky and expensive assistive technologies available were inadequate, fueling my determination to make a difference.

Developing Bonocle

‍With a background in computer science and a newfound passion for inclusive technology, I began brainstorming with some friends. From a prototype glove that converted text to Braille to the development of Bonocle, every step was guided by a vision to make technology accessible and enjoyable for the blind community.
